John Kerry Has Not Called John Edwards

In an interview moments ago with Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC, John Kerry admitted, when asked, that he has not called or spoken with, John Edwards since his announcement to leave the race. He did he it was on his to do list, somewhat coldly saying "I've told my staff it is something with have to accomplish."

When asked if Kerry would reach out to his one time running mate to endorse Sen. Obama, Kerry rejected the notion, and said he would not.

This to me is another instance of the D.C. establishment - Kerry, Kennedy, etc. - ignoring Edwards and taking his efforts in '04, and now in '08, for granted.

kerry as smart and (none / 0)

good on policy he is - is socially a horrific candidate for office.

In fact I think kerry would help Obama much less on the campaign trail than Edwards would

I wasn't an Edwards supporter, but I think the way Kerry handled the endorsement and the media afterwards was an insult to Edwards. I also wasn't happy with the way Kerry handled 2004. I am happy to hear that he will be having a democratic opponent in next years election - hopefully he'll be a good candidate that I can support. Finally, my vote in MA may make a difference.

Kerry seems like a jerk sometimes- he's the last person Edwards wants to hear from, anyway. Don't you know that Kerry has just been burning with envy over Edwards being in the race and having so much influence in the race? He seems like he has a huge ego.

but in addition to wanting to fight the Ohio results in court (with the 14 million that kerry unbelievably did not spend in 2004)

Edwards supposedly was against his windsurfing activity.

the thing that makes me really nervous about Obama is his timidity some times and reminds me of Kerry a tiny tiny bit

Why do people want to push a call neither probably wants to do. They apparently didn't get along during the election. They have not been friends since. Kerry's endorsement of Obama certainly didn't help John. What's the call supposed to be? No matter what he says Edwards will probably hang up and mutter fuck him. Let's support a sense of normalcy in our politicians instead of this fake dialog. I'm sure Obama and Clinton are much better friends with John than Kerry.
